about our group trips
This isn’t a run-you-ragged tour, where you get going early in the morning and get back to the hotel late at night.
rather, This is a hybrid of a guided tour and a leisurely vacation. you’ll learn, you’ll explore, you’ll eat well, and you’ll relax.
One Daily Guided Activity
Each day will usually feature one all-group experience, lasting about the half of the day. There are few hours most afternoons for optional excursions, free time exploring, or laying out by the pool.
During free time, your guides are still available to show you anything that interests or take you anywhere you want to go.
Luxury Accommodations
This is not a “roughing it” trip. We are based out of Porta Hotel Antigua, a beautiful and eco-friendly hotel located just a few blocks south of the Parque Central (Central Park).
The grounds include a large swimming pool with poolside food & beverage service, a daily breakfast buffet in the outdoor restaurant, manicured grounds, and wonderful rooms.
Excellent Food & Drink
Antigua has become a foodie paradise, with incredible restaurants and coffee shops, led by both Guatemalans and people from all over the world. Our shared meals will be at some of our favorites spots, and your open slots can be filled with one of dozens of unique and delicious places.
Antigua’s restaurants are very flexible for all dietary or allergen needs - whether gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan or anything else.
Additionally, from local craft breweries to bespoke cocktails, there is a unique drinking experience always around the corner.
IMPORTANT: This is a very active trip, with nearly everything we do on foot. Be prepared to walk from place to place each day. the central core of antigua is nine square blocks, so you won’t be going far. but you will be constantly on the move!
